Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year
Congratulations to all winners for the Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year award,
BolognaFiere and AIE (Italian Publishers Association) award the BOP – Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year award at Bologna Children’s Book Fair each year. The aim is to celebrate the quality of publishers from around the whole world, and to foster mutual knowledge and exchange between different countries and the different cultural areas of the world.
Each year IBBY UK nominates for the BOP Bologna Prize for Best Children’s Publisher of the Year. Nominations are for a maximum of seven publishing houses: two publishing houses from the geographical area where the nominating body is based, and one for each other geographical area. The geographical areas are Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Central & South America, Oceania.
The 2018 winners were announced at Bologna Book Fair on 26 March. Winners include Ediciones Tecolote in Mexico, one of IBBY UK’s nominated publishers. You can find out about the rest of the 2018 winners here.
