What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you join as a member, add your name to our supporters’ mailing list or order from our shop.
Members: name, address, email address (compulsory); occupation (not compulsory).
Supporters: name and email address.
Customers: name, address, email address, phone number.
How will we use the information about you?
We use the data collected to send you information relevant to your membership, to manage your account, and to fulfil any orders you make.
We do not share membership information with any third party and will not do so without your permission. Only the Treasurer/Membership Secretary of IBBY UK holds this information. It is held on a password-secured online database and a secured computer.
How long will we keep the information?
You can resign from IBBY UK or take your name off the mailing list at any time by emailing email@example.com or unsubscribing by clicking the link at the bottom of any email we send you. We will then delete your information from our records.
If your membership lapses through your failure to pay a subscription, we will delete your information 12 months after the end of last paid-for subscription year.
Access to your information
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the personal information we hold, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We want to make sure that the information we hold is correct and uptodate. Please ask us to update any information which you think may be inaccurate.

We use the following websites to process information for us:
Mailchimp: to send out emails and newsletters to members and the mailing list.
Eventbrite: to manage bookings for events.
PayPal: to process payments for memberships and cards.
