Francesca Sanna is an Italian illustrator, born in Sardinia, in Italy, and based in Zurich.
Her first book “The Journey”, published by Flying Eye, was awarded, among other prizes, with the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators in 2016 and won the Klaus Flugge Prize and the Amnesty International CILIP Honour in 2017. With Flying Eye she also published the book “Me and My Fear”, in 2018.
She currently lives in Zurich, where she works as author and illustrator with main interest in children’s books, surrounded by the Swiss mountains and constantly missing the sea, her beloved island, and her cat.
