Maisie Paradise Shearring is from Hull, UK. She is an international award-winning and published illustrator.
In 2015, Maisie received the Bologna International Illustrators’ Award in recognition for her graphic novel, Susan’s School Days. Maisie has a broad portfolio of work and her clients include, Walker Books, Barrington Stoke, Two Hoots, Thames and Hudson and Ediciones SM. Maisie has exhibited her work internationally, in galleries including the Scottish National Gallery, Madrid’s Caixa Forum, Bologna Children’s Book Fair and Slovak National Museum. Maisie is also a university lecturer and co founder of the illustration teaching company, Orange Beak Studio. This year Maisie is one of the Picturehooks mentors.
